How to increase your productivity significantly.
Most people don’t have any insight about their productivity, and the time when they are most productive.
Why measuring productivity is so important.
When you are working from 9 am to 6 pm, their are moments that just don’t have the energy or the motivation to work. The best thing that you can do is search these moment and try to see a pattern. When you see a pattern, you can adapt to it. Lets say from 9 to 12 you are productive, but from 12 to 2 you just can’t do it. in between 12 and 2 you can have a lunch break, or maybe meetings with your employees. so that you don’t ‘waste’ any productive time.
How to measure your productivity.
One of the ways to measure it is to ask your self every hour if you are productive, and on what level productivity you are. I have a scale from 1 to 4, 1 is not productive at all and 4 is super productive. eventually you will get a table of your productivity levels. For example:
If you see the table above, you see that i am the most productive between 11:00 and 15:00, and in de evening around 7 pm to 8 pm. I try to put my most important work and the work in need the most discipline for in these hours.
How to implement this in your calendar and life.
In your calendar you can block off these hours, and just put the work in what you really need done. You need to make sure that these hours are cramped with work, so there is always enough todo. No minute can be sacrificed.
The number one thing that people forget.
Keep tracking your productivity hours, sometimes its switched up. People change so your productivity hours change. Make sure you are in a environment that you can work at your best, for some people that is a really quite office or a messy loud office.
It needs time to improve your productivity, because currently you have a habit and you need to break through that. eventually you will get there though.
